OHSU’s School of Nursing is seeking a dynamic, equity-driven Academic Nurse-Midwife to join our nationally recognized Nurse-Midwifery program. This faculty role blends teaching, clinical practice, scholarship, and service within a mission-centered, trauma-informed organization committed to healing, discovery, and the preparation of future nurse leaders.
In this role, the Assistant Professor will:
• Teach and mentor DNP midwifery students through didactic, lab, and clinical instruction
• Provide full-scope clinical practice and clinical teaching within the OHSU Nurse-Midwifery Faculty Practice
• Contribute to curriculum development, student advising, and DNP clinical inquiry project supervision
• Engage in scholarship aligned with rank, including clinical inquiry, research, writing, and presentations
• Participate in faculty governance, committees, and service activities that advance the program and School of Nursing
• Support OHSU’s commitment to equity, inclusion, social justice, and anti-racist practice
Qualifications include:
• PhD or DNP (or equivalent)
• Current Oregon RN and APRN licensure; national CNM certification; BLS and NRP
• Minimum of 3 years full-scope midwifery experience
