This is a Supplemental Midwifery position at Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Midwifery practicing at the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical campus and Legacy Medical Group - Obstetrics and Gynecology at Salmon Creek clinic. Our midwifery practice provides independent full scope care in a team-based model.

 

Description and Requirements:

  • Provides antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, family-planning and well-woman gynecological care independently to adolescent and adult patients based on scope of practice and established guidelines.
  • Consults appropriately with consulting physicians.
  • Provides collaborative care or referral to medical management as appropriate.
  • This care is guided by practice guidelines and standards established jointly by the LMG Midwifery staff and Program Director under the direction of the Clinical VP of Women’s Services.
  • Follows all organizational, regulatory and human resource policies and procedures.
  • Practice includes full participation in outpatient and inpatient care.
  • Practices full scope midwifery.
  • Full scope women’s healthcare and midwifery experience required.
  • Ability to work with people in a diplomatic and tactful manner, utilizing effective leadership and group process skills.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.

Education:

  • As required by licensure.

Certification and Licenses:

  • Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse/ Nurse Midwife/ Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NP-PP) required.
  • National Certification as a Nurse Midwife required.
  • Possess active BLS card from the American Heart Association
  • Current licensure as required by staff and state requirements.
