Position Overview
This caregiver will meet an immediate need to support an client with memory difficulties. Role includes companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and taking the client on errands. This role focuses on ensuring a safe recovery environment, offering personal support, and helping clients regain independence while following their care plan.
Caregiver must be willing to drive the client in their own car (will be reimbursed for mileage).
Essential Functions

Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the supervisor.

Support medication reminders (non-medical, per care plan).

Prepare light meals and snacks according to dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary.

Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and organization to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Provide companionship and reassurance.

Accompany the senior on errands

Document care provided and communicate with the care team to ensure continuity.

Respect and maintain client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
Skills/Qualifications

Experience with Alzheimer's and dementia care a must

Strong observation skills and ability to recognize changes in condition.

Knowledge of safe mobility and transfer techniques.

Patience, compassion, and ability to provide emotional reassurance.

Good communication skills to interact with clients, families, and the care team.

Dependability and flexibility to meet varying recovery needs.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education/Experience Requirements

CNA, HHA, or equivalent caregiving experience preferred.

Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and TB test (or willingness to obtain).

Successful completion of background check and drug screening, with random checks thereafter.

Physically able to perform duties, including safe lifting and mobility assistance.
