Responsibilities
Located in downtown Fresno, Community Regional Medical Center is home to the region’s only Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. As a Palliative Care RN, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team providing compassionate, patient-centered care that supports comfort and quality of life for patients and their families.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and focused bedside evaluations following palliative consult referrals.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide pain and symptom management support within the RN scope of practice to enhance patient comfort and well-being.
- Round daily on assigned patients and coordinate updates with primary nursing and physician teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- 1 year of experience in Palliative Care, geriatric, end of life care or related nursing specialty required
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ELNEC - End of Life Nurse Education Consortium required within 1 year of hire or transfer into position
