School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Madera, California

A school-based registered nurse position is available to provide essential healthcare support for K-12 students in Madera, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of students in a dynamic school environment, supporting both ongoing nursing needs and initial Individualized Education Plan (IEP) assessments at the preschool level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing coverage during a temporary absence, ensuring continuity of care for students.
• Assist with Initial IEPs at the preschool, collaborating with educational and support staff.
• Deliver health assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions as required.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and healthcare providers.
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment by implementing health education and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Valid California School Nurse Services Credential is required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with a background in school nursing.
• Experience in pediatric healthcare and familiarity with school health services.
• Ability to manage health plans and respond to student health needs promptly.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within an educational setting.

Location: Onsite position in Madera, CA within a K-12 school setting.

Schedule: Approximately 16 hours per week, ideally spread over two full days to provide consistent support through the school semester, with potential extension into the spring semester.
