Summary

  • GENERAL SUMMARY
    • The Office RN performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services to support the medical practice. Reports to Practice Manager/Supervisor and works in close cooperation with and under the clinical guidance of the practice physician(s).
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education.
    • Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
    • Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of an accredited School of Nursing.
    • Pediatric experience preferred.
    • CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
    • Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Frequent exposure to communicable disease and moderately adverse working conditions due to performance of certain patient care activities.

Responsibilities As Branch Director, you supervise the clinical operations of your team of field staff and report directly to the Agency Administrator. You will need to be organized, detail-oriented, and possess effective communication skills both orally and in writing. You will need to understand the issues related to the delivery of home health care services and be able to problem solve. Previous home health and management experience will serve you well in this rewarding role, and an excellent knowledge of OASIS and Medicare guidelines is most helpful as you will be reviewing plans of care on a daily basis. Qualifications Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state in which the position is based. Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. He/She must have a minimum of one-year nursing experience within the last 36 months. Medicare home health experience is strongly preferred. Previous management/supervisory experience is preferred.
