School Nurse (LPN) - Lowell, Massachusetts

A full-time LPN/LVN Nurse position is available in a high school setting, providing essential healthcare support to a student diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus. This contract role starts as soon as possible and runs through June 30, 2026, requiring on-site presence at the school location. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:05 PM, and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 2:15 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage fluid intake and enforce strict bathroom break schedules
  • Recognize and respond to signs of dehydration and elevated sodium levels
  • Provide hands-on medical support based on knowledge of Diabetes Insipidus
  • Collaborate closely with school staff to ensure student health and safety
  • Maintain accurate health records and compliance with school policies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active LPN or LVN licensure in Massachusetts required
  • Previous school-based nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Understanding of Diabetes Insipidus and related medical protocols
  • Ability to complete CORI and fingerprinting background checks successfully
  • Strong observation and communication skills for working with high school students

This is a full-time contract role designed for professionals comfortable working independently and as part of a healthcare and education team. The position involves a male high school student receiving specialized nursing care. A Zoom interview will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
