Responsibilities

As a PRN RN member of our Internal Resource Pool nursing team, you’ll have the flexibility to pick up shifts, between 200 and 900 hours per year (12 months from hire). From Labor & Delivery and Emergency to Med Surg, Telemetry and more, you’ll work with diverse patient populations and clinical environments while supporting and advancing the standard of excellence in care that Community is known for. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs.

  • Adapt to various unit environments while maintaining a strong commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensure continuity and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Serve as a vital resource in times of staffing needs, helping maintain operational flow and continuity of care across departments.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • 2 years of nursing experience and competency in area required
  • Basic Arrhythmia Course required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Exam required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
  • Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job
  • Advanced Life Support OB Program required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Course must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire or transfer
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job
