Caregiver Full-time

We are looking for engaging caregivers to lead our childcare efforts to promote fun and stimulating programming within our pediatric skilled nursing facility!
 

The Caregiver is an essential role in the total quality client/family coordination of care in a multidisciplinary method under the supervision of the nursing staff and the program coordinator. The Caregiver provides direct client care and is responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living that promotes the child's independence. Our Caregivers encourage engagement in developmentally appropriate activities and collaborate in the planning of a daily schedule.

Qualifications

  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner.
  • Basic personal computer skills and comfort with learning electronic charting systems.
  • Childcare and/or Healthcare experience preferred.
  • A current negative Tuberculosis test (PPD) is required.
  • Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required.

Bus Driver/Caregiver

Skilled work in the operation of light buses and/or vans in transporting clients to and from the contracted vendors and pre-determined designated locations. Working exclusively with The Kidz Club PPEC. Transporting children ages birth to 21 with complex medical needs. If you love driving and want to make an impact, this is the position for you! Responsibilities Complete the Training program within 30 days of employment: Hands-on Training with another Driver Online Training Course Transports clients to and from the contracted vendor and designated location, following a pre-planned route according to a definite time schedule; communicating in harmony with parents and staff. Drives bus cautiously and in compliance with traffic regulations. Assumes responsibility for the safety of all passengers in loading, unloading, and transporting them to and from a pre-determined designated location and the contracted vendor. Is knowledgeable of Passenger Assistance guidelines and passenger restraint procedures. Operate manual and remote-controlled wheelchair lifts. Regulates heating equipment and ventilation of buses for the comfort of passengers. Logs mechanical inspection (lights, tires, etc.) and cleanliness of vehicle on daily trip sheet; documenting findings or concerns. Checks water, gas, oil, and mechanical condition of the bus weekly. Reports delays and accidents immediately. Reports defects or problems with vehicle to SDON immediately. Keeps operational records and makes simple reports. Assures bus meets regular maintenance schedules. Performs related work as required, such as vehicle cleaning as needed. Complements the nursing staff in the total quality client/family coordination of care in a multidisciplinary method. Provides direct client care that includes the holistic approach to the care of the child and family, including educational, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, mental, and emotional care and needs of the child. Responsible for providing personal care and fostering independence as indicated and caring for the child’s immediate environment. Qualifications Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations, and of precautions necessary to avoid accidents.
