JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, Patient Care Manager, Director, and Vice President of Patient Care, the Registered Nurse administers individualized age-appropriate patient care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and adult patient according to the established nursing standards and Nurse Practice Act of Missouri.

Typical Hours: Variable Shift, 12 hours/shift, weekend rotation

Education:

- Graduate of an approved professional nursing program

- BSN preferred

Certification & Licensures:

- Licensed to practice in the State of Missouri as a RN

- BLS Certification- required upon hire

- NIHSS- required within 90 days

- ACLS- required within 180 days

- TNCC- required within 365 days

- NRP Certification- required within 90 days of hire (NICU)

Job Summary and Responsibilities The new NICU now occupies level 5 of the F-Tower for a total of 9000 square feet, compared to about 4500 square feet in the previous unit. After rebuilding the new NICU Unit, several improvements were made to make the Unit more conducive to privacy as well as individual space. The new NICU Unit contains a total of 17 beds.
