The pediatric unit, located on WKS campus, is designed to meet the needs of children. The unit is beautiful and provides a safe and cheerful atmosphere for our young patients. The 24-bed unit has specially trained staff that work closely with all departments to provide quality care to the children we serve. We believe in family-centered care, involving the parents/family and patients in all aspects of care, including decision-making.

Nurse-to-patient ratio in this unit is 4:1. New employees receive a pediatric-specific orientation as well as cross-training in other areas. We offer ACLS, PALS and NRP at no cost to employees, as well as specialty differential pay. Maintaining a healthy work environment includes taking care of staff. To help balance home life and work, we offer flexible scheduling.
