Responsibilities

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch

No Weekends or Holidays

 

Duties:

• Coordinate patient care collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, striving for optimal clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.• Ensure adherence to care standards, established policies, procedures, and MTF guidelines, including conducting peer reviews.• Perform physical examinations and health histories.• Provide health promotion, counseling, and education.• Administer medications, deliver wound care, and provide personalized interventions.• Direct and oversee healthcare professionals in the delivery of care.• Assign patient care based on personnel skill levels and scope of practice.• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms, responding swiftly in emergency situations.• Foster communication and collaboration within the healthcare team, offering education for the benefit of patients, families, and the organization.• Arrange referral appointments and specialty care as needed.• Deliver nursing services as outlined in the TO.• Engage in research to enhance practice and patient outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Effectively utilize electronic health records and software applications for appropriate documentation of assessments, interventions, and evaluation of patients' plans of care.• Attend staff meetings to provide case discussions, continuing education, andcontinuous quality improvement and safety.• Perform peer reviews.SPECIAL NOTE: Healthcare professionals in military settings are equipped to meet the clinical needs of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). They are eligible to assist various clinical departments within their scope of practice as decided and overseen by commanding officers. This flexible approach guarantees the MTF's ability to efficiently adapt to changing workforce demands while upholding the highest standards of patient care.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: Minimum ADN from an accredited college or university* Experience: Minimum 1 year recent experience after graduation.

* Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any state.

* Life Support Certifications: AHA or ARC BLS Certification * Security:Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
