The Position: We're looking for passionate Home Health Aides provides personal care and assigned therapy exercises within the patient's home; assists patient in reaching the maximum level of self care. Provide activities of daily living (ADL) care including bathing, hair care, nail and skin care, and oral hygiene. Serve as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Recognize and report changes in skin condition to Case Managers. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. / Minimum age of 18. Completion of state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program required. Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii preferred. Must maintain current BLS Certification. Salary Pay: $16.50 - $18.02 / hour Overview Elderwood Assisted Living at West Seneca is hiring Resident Care Aide/Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team. Shifts available: Part-time or full-time 6am-2pm. Full-time 2pm-10pm. All positions include weekend rotations. PCA/HHA Overview: Resident Care Aide - Personal Care Aide (PCA) team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing personal care support. This position is responsible for meeting the physical and emotional needs of residents under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse ensuring that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. Responsibilities Resident Care Aide - Home Health Aide (HHA): Ability to assist residents with Daily Living Activities as needed that may include meal assistance, grooming, medication management, showering, dressing/undressing, toileting, skin care. Ability to use hands, arms and fingers in repeated motions that include ability to feel or operate objects, tools, or controls including grasping and turning motions. Ability to move and walk quickly and steadily in an emergency situation. Ability to assist with wheelchair transport of resident(s). Ability to apply/utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Responsible for responding immediately to residents’ requests. From Up to Qualifications Resident Care Aide - Home Health Aide (HHA) Educational Requirements and Qualifications: Eighteen (18) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Certification by an approved basic training program in home health aide services approved by the Department of Health and possess written evidence of such certification. Must maintain current annual skills testing approval. Ability to assist residents with all aspects of Daily Living Activities including bathing, toileting, and transferring.
