Department Highlights
- Participate in unit Involvement to improve efficiency
- Great team environment with the ability to cross train to other CV areas.
- High paced procedure area
- Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
- 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) Required;
- One (1) or more years’ experience in an Acute Care setting with ICU or Emergency experience strongly preferred
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Required
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
