School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Milwaukee, Wisconsin

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a medically fragile elementary student in Racine, WI. This contract assignment begins in November and runs through January 5, 2026, serving a vital role in supporting the student's health and well-being while attending school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile student requiring assistance with tracheostomy care, G-tube feeding, seizure management, and personal hygiene.
  • Accompany the student on the bus to and from school, requiring arrival at the students home by 6:45 AM and bus drop-off around 3:13 PM.
  • Administer medical interventions as needed throughout the school day.
  • Monitor the students condition closely and communicate effectively with family and school staff.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of care and health observations.

Qualifications:

  • Current Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
  • Experience caring for children with complex medical needs, specifically trach, G-tube, and seizure care.
  • Ability to safely transport the student on the bus to and from home and school.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Dependable, patient-focused, and physically capable of performing the required care duties.

Location: Racine, WI
Duration: November start through January 5, 2026 (Contract, Leave Coverage)
Schedule: Full-time, early morning start at 6:45 AM for bus ride and afternoon end at approximately 3:13 PM.
