Job Overview

Shriners Children's Lexington has an opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant.

The Certified Medical Assistant assists in rooming patients, taking vital signs, measurements, preparation of exam rooms, stocking supplies, assisting the physician, interacting with other departments and documentation in the electronic medical record.

Monday – Friday

Closed weekends and major holidays.

Observe nine holidays: New Year, Martin Luther King, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.

Parking is at no cost to the employee.

Responsibilities

Assist in opening and preparing each exam room.
Makes sure the clinic pod/assessment area is ready for the day’s activity.
Straighten and clear counters, change bulletin boards as needed and generally clean area.
Meets with each patient prior to physician and completes information from the patient/family and enters that data into the EMR at each patient visit.
