Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Assistant assists in rooming patients, taking vital signs, measurements, preparation of exam rooms, stocking supplies, assisting the physician, interacting with other departments and documentation in the electronic medical record. 
  • Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and depart processes.
  • Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Responsible for prepping clinic to be prepared for that day's clinic to include monitoring supplies and equipment and ordering supplies.
  • Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Two years' pediatric care experience
