Requirements

What You’ll Do:

Provide a level of care that goes beyond the traditional urgent care setting
Ensure comprehensive care for patients of all ages
Procedures to include EKG and X-ray interpretation, abscess incision and drainage, infection management, reduction of dislocations, splinting of fractures, laceration repair, IV hydration, and medication administration
Serve as a role model and leader for the clinical team
Communicate test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans
Effectively communicate and collaborate with Physicians
Work with an energetic, highly-trained support team, including many shifts with a scribe

Minimum Qualifications:

Board Certified (or Board Eligible) Family Nurse Practitioner
Experience with procedures such as suturing and abscess I&D
Experience with reading diagnostics studies, including X-rays and EKGs
2+ years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care highly preferred
ACLS and PALS Certification preferred

Working collaboratively with wound care physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team members to evaluate, manage, and treat a variety of complex wounds using evidence-based practices, advanced therapies, and appropriate procedural interventions. Comprehensive assessments, development of individualized treatment plans, patient and family education, coordination of care, and ongoing management to promote healing, prevent complications, and optimize patient outcomes. Perform wound care procedures such as sharp debridement, application of advanced dressings, compression therapy, and management of biologic/adjunctive therapies.
