Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care (Moonlighting)

Job Overview

Fairview Urgent Care Centers provide convenient medical care weekdays, evenings and weekends. Advance Practice Providers working in urgent care provide a broad spectrum of non-emergent care for minor illness and injury. All hospital admissions are referred to the physician on-call for these practices. Moonlighters are needed for a variety of shifts at M Health Fairview urgent care centers and at other M Health Fairview clinics in the metro area. Hours vary by site. Volume fluctuates seasonally.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited formal Family Nurse Practitioner training program.
  • BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required)
  • Must be comfortable seeing pediatric and adult patients.
  • At least 1-2 years urgent care or clinic experience. Internal, Fairview employed candidates only at this time.
  • Skills required - suturing, splinting, I and D.
