Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)
Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilledPsychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join ourOMH Youth ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) program. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges, delivering care in the clinic, in the community, and at home.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations in clinic, home, mobile van, and community settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy, medication management, and referrals as appropriate.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while managing side effects and interactions.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Provide education to youth and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, coping strategies, and wellness practices.
- Advocate for youth and families within the healthcare system and community services.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to program development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- CurrentNYS Professional Registered Nurse license required.
- NYS Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
- MSN in Psychiatry & Mental Health required (minimum).
- Experience in pediatric behavioral health with strong knowledge of psychiatric and co-occurring disorders required.
- Proficiency withElectronic Medical Records (EMR) systems required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong therapeutic communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Salary: $145,000 - $155,000; Grant Funded Program
