Requirements:

  • Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • IV certification required if required by state regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
  • BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred

Prepares serum and venoms for both testing and treatment for all clinics system-wide. Ensures vials arrive on time Prepares instructions provided by the physicians and sends them with the testing and treatment vials. Maintains log of all of airborne and food intradermals, including expiration dates. Monitors stock of all serums, including stock bottles, intradermals, venoms, histatrol, pre-pens, vials, packaging boxes, and syringes for testing. Properly labels and identifies all serum and venoms and any other items needed to run allergy serum lab efficiently. Prepares allergy testing trays for clinical staff to use in patient testing. Refills testing trays as needed and replaces trays when necessary. Monitors all vials kept in the allergy serum laboratory and discards any expired vials. Follows disinfection protocols and protocols established by USP chapter 27. Works in conjunction with laboratory management to ensure proper compliance of serum laboratory. Maintains quarterly log of vaccines charged out by physician and sends out quarterly logs to the physician and the Management Team for review. Serves as the primary contact for all allergy serum orders. Assures that the integrity and safety of the serum laboratory is maintained. Must complete an annual test that covers serum mixing/compounding skills. Must complete frequent check-offs that are pertinent to this position. Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct. Regular and dependable attendance.
