Hours: 40 8A – 8P 7on / 7 off includes weekends & holidays

Shift: Day/evening, weekend, holiday rotation

Location: New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager, or designee, conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned Physician.
Perform initial histories, physicals, consultations and follow-up care visits which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing, and/or immunizations.
Formulate diagnoses based on clinical assessments and establish appropriate/ timely treatment plans.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
Nurse Practitioner Certificate is required.
Minimum of one years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
Current Massachusetts Nursing Practitioners License is required.

The WOCN is a resource for the ordering and proper utilization of specialty pressure redistribution products. Works within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follows all hospital policies and procedures. Complies with the hospital and nursing standards in the performance of the job duties and responsibilities.
