Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
  • NCLEX-RN Certification preffered.
  • Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in primary care or a related field required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Overview The focus of this position will be for Adult Gerontology Acute Care POSITION SUMMARY: Provides classroom and clinical/laboratory instruction for College of Nursing students in the nursing major including preparation of content, assignments, and evaluation of student clinical and academic progress.
