CRNA Full-time

Overview

Make your move to Alaska! Experience the midnight sun in the summer, a front-row seat to the northern lights in the winter, and the opportunity to advance your career as you broaden your scope of practice.

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, a subsidiary of Foundation Health Partners, is searching for a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our highly experienced Anesthesia team.

The Opportunity:

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH) is seeking a CRNA to join our team as a nocturnist, providing in-house anesthesia coverage during the hours of 7PM – 7AM. This position offers a two-week on, two-week off schedule, meaning you can enjoy half the year off to experience the unique lifestyle Alaska from hiking, fishing, and hunting to skiing, snowmobiling, and northern lights viewing. You’ll manage a bread-and-butter caseload including OB, emergency cases, and urgent GI procedures. While high-acuity cases are less frequent, the work is dynamic and engaging, keeping your skills sharp as part of a rural health system, without the constant intensity of a trauma-heavy environment. Work alongside a supportive team of anesthesiologists who share call responsibilities, ensuring backup is always available when needed. This role is ideal for CRNAs who enjoy the autonomy of night shifts but appreciate the predictability of a structured schedule and extended time off. The in-house model means no home call, giving you peace of mind and the ability to fully disconnect during your off weeks.

  • Compensation: Shift rate: $1,862 per 12-hour shift, 161 shifts per year, with an average annual salary of $300k. $40k sign-on bonus.
  • Patients: OB, emergency cases, and urgent GI procedures during overnight shifts.
  • Team: 5 full-time Anesthesiologists and ultimately 12 CRNAs.
  • ScheduleOptions for a 1wk on 1wk off schedule or 2wk on 2wk off schedule. Our schedule is tailored to embrace a "work hard, play hard" mentality, with condensed work blocks providing ample time off.
