Certified Medical Assistant – Physical Medicine and Rehab

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehab is currently seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Working along with providers in a clinic setting. Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during in office medical procedures. Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data. Patient education on upcoming procedures, medications, etc. per provider’s protocol. Monitor patients post procedure until discharge. Enter patient orders for testing and follow up on test results. Send referrals for prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing. Triage patient calls for providers and answer patient questions. Qualifications: Medical certification/license is required. CPR certification is required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems. Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork. Nurse Practitioner or PA-C - Department of Hematology & Oncology

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of highly dedicated physicians and staff whose primary mission is to provide high quality, compassionate care to our patients. This Provider will provide services by performing the following duties: Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education. Assess patient health concerns; diagnose and determine treatment plan. Order treatment, therapy and prescriptions as needed. Obtains patient histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Provides health education to families, and/or community health practitioners and groups within area of specialty. Support quality care and positive patient outcomes for general Hematology Oncology patients. Qualifications: Current, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license or Physician Assistant license. Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Clinical expertise in the management of acute and chronic conditions related to cancer and blood disorders, preferred. Previous oncology experience and oncology certification preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
