Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Provide comprehensive Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, serving meals, assisting with feeding, ambulating, turning, positioning, and toileting, always prioritizing their comfort and dignity. Maintain exceptionally clean, safe, and organized living conditions for residents, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment. This includes tidying rooms, changing linens, and assisting with personal belongings. Accurately and thoroughly complete all required reports and records in a timely manner, documenting resident care, observations, and any changes in condition to ensure seamless communication within the care team. Perform all duties in strict accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as facility policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of patient safety and care. Proactively observe and report any changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition to the Unit Manager or charge nurse promptly. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and exercises as directed by care plans. Engage residents in meaningful social interactions and activities to promote their overall well-being. Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other care team members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care. Other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, or Administrator, contributing to the smooth operation and excellent care provided by our facility. Qualifications for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a vital part of a collaborative team environment. Basic computer knowledge for charting and communication. Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred but not required; we welcome new graduates and those looking to enter the field!
