The Home Dialysis Nurse Manager oversees Home Hemodialysis (HHD) and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) operations in the dialysis unit, as well as supervises nursing personnel, organizes and administers the Home Training Program, and implements ESRD training and educational programs to ensure safe and efficient dialysis treatments for all patients. Collaborate with the Clinic Administrator for patient care staffing, matching patient needs with staff capabilities and experiences to maximize staffing resources. Collaborate with the Clinic Administrator on the scheduling of patients to ensure all patients are treated in a timely manner. Assist in the teaching and training of new staff members as directed by the Nurse Educator - i.e., machines, ROS, procedures etc. Act as the Subject Matter Expert and assist nurse educator with training for staff in all clinical systems. Ensure vascular access management for the patients is documented as needed. Understands the basic concepts of water treatment and reuse and the effects on patient care. Communicates clearly and effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, and supervisors, keeping all appropriate people aware of changes in the patient condition. Is knowledgeable of and follows the clinics' Risk Management program. May be assigned to administer medications to patients, educates the patient about medications ordered by the physician, and documents according to DCI policy. Qualifications Completion of an accredited program in practical nursing. Current LPN license Current CPR/AED certification DCI provides comprehensive hands-on and theory orientation/training in order to equip our nurses for success.
