EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 3 years of successful work experience as an RN is required. A minimum of 3 years of successful work experience as an RN in a specialty area is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is minimally required. About the unit: We are a 16 bed Observation unit. 75% of our patients come from PACU, needing a 1-2 night stay in the hospital after their surgery. The other 25% of our patients come from the Emergency Room. The goal length of stay for patients on this unit is between 8-36 hours. Patients typically discharge home after their hospital stay. Common surgical procedures seen on this unit include: joint replacements, shoulder and ankle surgeries, GYN, and other various procedures that require a one night hospital stay.
