The Psychiatrist will conduct examinations on patients scheduled by the institution's medical staff. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and making referral recommendations for inmates. Each workday will consist of eight (8) sessions, totaling two (2) workdays per week (16 sessions + unpaid half-hour lunch). The candidate will have eight (8) sessions to complete a workday. RN Director of Clinical Services Reports to: Administrator Job Description Summary This is a full time exempt employee responsible for the overall direction of the hospice services. He/she is responsible for the employment of qualified hospice personnel; is responsible for the provision of hospice services, directly, and through the delegation of and coordination of hospice personnel evaluations; is responsible for establishing standards of care to comply with federal and state regulations and guidelines. The Director of Clinical Services establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy. Qualification Requirements Graduate of an accredited RN program. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of job location Previous hospice experience required Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in health care management. Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel. Has an ability to deal tactfully with the community. Has knowledge of corporate business management. Understands hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group. Intimate knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification. Essential Job Responsibilities ADMINISTRATIVE 1. Develops, implements and evaluates the Hospice goals and objectives in alignment with the organization's strategic direction. 2. Develops and implements required Hospice policies and procedures to ensure identified outcomes 3. Ensures organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements. 4. Ensures services provided by other agencies are authorized by hospice. 5. Monitors operational progress toward accomplishing operational and strategic goals. 6. Oversees the Hospice QAPI Plan and ensures compliance with all aspects of the program. 7. The incumbent may be requested to perform other job-related tasks as directed by the Administrator. 8. Will perform other duties as assigned. FINANCIAL 1. Develops implements and manages the Hospice budget. 2. Monitors business operations to insure financial stability. 3. Evaluates hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives. 4. Works with Billing and collections department to resolve hospice billing issues 5. Ensures appropriate data collection and regular, complete reports are received by the Governing Body. 6. Ensures adequate space, equipment and supplies are available. 7. Ensures actionable objectives are derived from evaluation of hospice services and personnel. 8. Ensures that structure and systems promote interdisciplinary care HUMAN RESOURCES-TRAINING 1. Hires required Hospice staff and ensures adequate and appropriate staffing. 2. Conflict and complaint management and resolution. 3. Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication including integration or technology, as applicable. 4. Ensures hospice personnel stay current with clinical information and practices. 5. Staff development including orientation, in-service, continuing education, competency testing and quality assessment performance improvement. 6. Ensures that interdisciplinary care is provided. 7. Ensures supportive services are available to personnel. 8. Ensures coordination with other departments, services and senior management, as appropriate. 9. Ensures staff and organization stay current on local and national hospice issues and trends. 10. Direct staff in performance of their duties including admission, discharge, transfer, revocation, and provision of service to patients. 11. Ensures appropriate staff supervision during all service hours. 12. Monitors service utilization to ensure delivery of comprehensive care. 13. Ensures actionable objectives are derived from evaluation of hospice services and personnel. 14. Ensures that structure and systems promote interdisciplinary care. 15. Ensures collaboration with agencies and vendors for effective management of services. 16. Ensures standards of ethical business and clinical practice are maintained. 17. Hospice Liaison to Home Care. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Hearing and speaking ability required to communicate on the telephone and in person. 2. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds and in emergency situations handle a patient's full body weight. 3. Vision is necessary for entering data. 4. Reaching is required for paper management. 5. Manual dexterity is required for operating the iPad, photocopier, and telephone. 6. Mobility is required to access patient's home. 7. Must be able to drive to and from the office to patient homes and inter office travel. 8. Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. 9. Registered Nurse Floater needed in the Bronx Full time position, IRA Residences! Work hours: Flexible. Our client has various IRA locations throughout the Bronx in need of RN's. Flexible Schedule: 40 hours per week – any 5 days per week – 8 hours per day...the 8 hours can be any 8 hours between the hours of 8am-8pm. You may also choose to work Saturday or Sunday as part of your work schedule. Weekend work is not required. Responsibilities -Coordinate medical care for assigned individuals, monitor and assess health needs including arranging for follow-up care as needed. -Assessment by direct observation on consumer health status. Observe observation for signs and symptoms of discomfort, distress or illnesses. Evaluation of physical status changes for exacerbation of existing conditions, onset of disease, and/or responses to care and treatment. Documentation and follow up of all findings. -Communicate with physicians, families, interdisciplinary team members and clinicians involved in providing services to individuals. -Communicate and follow up on consumer hospitalizations, emergency room visits, reports of injury, trauma, accidents, illness, distress and other health issues as individually required. -Accompany individuals on medical appointments when necessary to advocate for and discus health issues. Communicate with team members as to findings. -In urgent/emergent situations, you may receive phone calls outside of routine working hours regarding individuals assigned to your caseload. -Attend meetings with management, staff, families, and clinicians to discuss any health-related issues regarding consumers served. -Develop individual specific nursing plans and protocols as needed. Update and revise these documents to reflect changes in consumer status. -Supervises AMAP administration of prescribed medication and routine treatments in accordance with federal and state regulations and agency policy. Administers STAT medication and treatments as prescribed. Participates in in-services and trains AMAPs as needed. Completed AMAP certification, recertification and decertification processes as necessary. -Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements -Must be currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State. -CPR certification required. -Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred not required. -Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. -Ability to handle multiple priorities and work as a member of a team. -A valid NY State or Tri-state area Driver's License for more than one year, in good standing, preferred.
