Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Critical Care Unit: ACLS or ALS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Must successfully complete dysrhythmia recognition test at initial department orientation. Emergency Department: Must complete ACLS or ALS certification during orientation. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS must be completed within one year of hire. Maternity Center: ACLS or ALS Certification required. NPR certification is required within 3 months of hire. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana required. BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers Certification required. PALS Certification required for staff who are assigned to care for pediatric patients. * Bonus is intended for external candidates and requires a 24-month commitment.
