Overview UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate CVOR RN to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Surgical Services team. As a Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care during cardiovascular surgical procedures. This position requires advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgical techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the cardiovascular surgical team in the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures. Monitor and assess patients intraoperatively to ensure safety and optimal outcomes. Function as a circulating and/or scrub nurse during open-heart and vascular surgeries. Maintain sterile fields, prepare and handle instruments and equipment, and manage surgical supplies. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, perfusionists, and surgical technologists to ensure coordinated patient care. Provide immediate post-operative care and ensure safe patient transfer to recovery units. Document nursing care accurately in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times. Participate in continuing education and competency assessments related to cardiovascular surgery. Take call on a rotating basis and respond promptly when called in. Qualifications Required Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Florida or compact state. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required CNOR or specialty CVOR certification – Preferred Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of operating room experience required. Cardiovascular OR experience highly preferred.
