Job Summary and Qualifications The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. What you will do in this role: Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider. Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response. Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support (AHA) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Key Responsibilities Design and implement patient-specific care plans focused on achieving optimal recovery and enhancing overall health. Maintain acute awareness of patient rights, ensuring these rights are upheld in accordance with the agency’s service agreements and admission policies. Understand the agency’s policies regarding appropriate patient discharge and reasons for discharge. Qualifications Must have a current RN license (state-specific). Valid BLS certification. Minimum one year of experience in home health or a healthcare facility. Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. Possess a solid understanding of professional nursing principles and home health documentation. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable and insured vehicle. Ability to visit homes that may not be wheelchair accessible. Sufficient hearing, eyesight, and dexterity to perform physical assessments and demonstrate care techniques.
