Position Summary The Admissions Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the admissions process for new residents and hospital returns. This role completes admission assessments, initiates care plans, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams. The Admissions RN also provides supervision and clinical oversight as needed. This is an ideal role for an RN seeking a weekday-only schedule with leadership responsibility and strong work-life balance. Primary Responsibilities Admissions & Care Coordination Conduct comprehensive admission assessments for new residents and hospital returns Initiate individualized care plans and update as conditions change Review PRI assessments and coordinate all components of the admissions process Participate in discharge planning and care transitions Clinical Oversight & Documentation Ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility policies Perform chart audits to maintain regulatory and clinical standards Prepare MDS assessments, care plans, and required admission documentation Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times Leadership & Supervision Support nursing operations under the direction of the Director of Nursing Supervise and guide nursing staff as needed during the admissions process Serve as a clinical resource for interdisciplinary team members Qualifications Active, unrestricted New York State RN license Long-term care experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and independent decision-making skills Supervisory or leadership experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $45–$50/hr Health benefits begin after just 30 days Weekly pay Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Generous paid time off (PTO) Tuition reimbursement Ongoing training and career development Stable weekday schedule with work-life balance Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture Apply Today Apply online today for the Admissions Nurse (RN) position at Robinson Terrace Rehabilitation & Nursing.
