The internal medicine department is ready to add a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to its team. The provider in this role will work to the top of competency providing holistic care to adults in internal medicine. All candidates must be graduates of an accredited program to be considered. The ideal candidate has ambulatory experience, preferably in internal medicine and should be comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities throughout the day including patient care, procedures and working with a team to accomplish team care. On occasion based on staffing, floating to cover other primary care departments or locations may be required to facilitate access to patient care. Summary Educates patients about their fertility options. Works with physicians to perform physical examinations, ultrasounds, and scans. Collects and sends blood samples for testing. Communicates with patients, conducts interviews, and gathers medical histories. Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse’s education, experience and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management and/or referral of health care issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy.
