Under the scope of an advanced practice clinician and approve privileges within Beebe Healthcare, the individual is expected to perform comprehensive patient assessments, follow-up care, diagnosis, side effect and infusion reaction management, survivorship care services, and patient education/counseling in collaboration with the medical oncology physicians. Responsibilities Performs comprehensive assessments for new and established oncology and hematology patients. Serves as the primary clinical support for the infusion center when assigned. Collaborate with the palliative care team for management of patient's ongoing care. Assist in the admission and discharge of patients receiving inpatient chemotherapy in collaboration with the attending oncology physician. Administration of intrathecal chemotherapy in collaboration with interventional radiology. Provide after-hours call coverage as part of a rotating schedule to include phone triage, clinical decision-making, and urgent inpatient/outpatient concerns in conjunction with on-call oncologist.
