Unity nurses apply their behavioral health specialty through high-level critical thinking, individualized patient care plans, early interventions, specialized assessments, and de-escalation and motivational interviewing techniques. Unity nurses maintain their physical health skills as part of our holistic treatment including attending to physical health needs such as assessment, wound care, and phlebotomy. Responsibilities The RN Charge Nurse is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of unit operations. Serves as a role model and resource for patient care. Provides leadership and promotes team-building among staff. Facilitates communication between staff, physicians, management and all other customers. Is responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures and standards. Qualifications Education: Academic degree in nursing (BSN or MSN/MN) required. Experience: One year of relevant clinical experience at proficient to expert level of practice required. Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning, performance management and staff development. Skills: Ability to manage a broad span of control through implementation of a self-directed team approach. Strong communication and leadership skills, and a willingness to lead by example. Must meet requirements of RN Staff Nurse Job Description and performs duties in any clinical capacity as needed. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. . Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care within an assigned department or unit Collaborates as part of the health care team under the direction of the clinical manager or designee Adheres to the Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses Performs all aspects of the nursing process: Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care Follows established Legacy Health System standards, including Patient assessment protocols & patient transfer procedures Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments. Experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing residency program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized. Skills: Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association required. Pay Range USD $51.78 - USD $77.34 /Hr.
