Job Summary: We are searching for a qualified and self-motivated certified medication aide to join our team. You will perform a variety of patient care duties including administering medication, reporting changes, collecting samples, and recording medication dosages. The ideal medication aide will be extremely detail-oriented and possess in-depth knowledge of patient care procedures. Providing excellent patient care is a vital part of this job, which is why excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications. Record medication dosages and times. Observe patients and document changes in their condition. Gather samples for analysis. Ensure equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned. Uphold all health and safety standards. Respond to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify patient needs. Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following community and regulatory guidelines. Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors. Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations. Required Skills/Abilities: Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a per diem Clinician, you wil be subject to the medical protocols established by Association and the Chief Medical Officer of Concentra and in cooperation with other physicians and clinicians assigned to a center, if any, per diem clinician shall provide primary medical direction and coordination of professional medical care within the occupational health program. Responsibilities Examines patient, compiles patient medical data and results of examination. Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests. Compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal. Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance. Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care. Assists in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care. Assists in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs. Provides excellent customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
