Description General summary: The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is a registered professional nurse responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within the patient’s place of residence. The primary function of this position is to assist in the overall administration and oversight of clinical departments, ensuring appropriate staffing, productivity, and adherence to agency standards. The ADON coordinates patient care with the interdisciplinary team, patients, families, and referring agencies; monitors and analyzes Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QA/PI) issues; and provides direction to clinical staff regarding agency policies and procedures. All RRH employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all RRH Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.
