Responsibilities What You'll Do: We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) who assesses consumers and documents pertinent information including Triage, Behavioral Health, Physical Health, and/or Substance Abuse issues. Demonstrates knowledge of Crisis Intervention and the ability to de-escalate potentially aggressive situations and will provide education to consumers and their families regarding Behavioral Health diagnosis, medications, and treatments. Completes detailed Nursing Assessments with individuals and documents pertinent information including Triage, Medical/Behavioral Health assessments, and medication administration utilizing appropriate assessment tools. Accurately record all medication brought in by individual on medication reconciliation/storage form. Plans individual treatment as part of the Multidisciplinary Clinical team. Provides education concerning Psychiatric diagnosis, treatment options, psychopharmacology, and overall health literacy to individuals, families, and all others involved in the individual’s care. Intervenes with appropriate verbal interventions to diffuse out of control or potentially dangerous behaviors. Demonstrates ability to effectively use therapeutic option theory and technique and can describe and demonstrate their roles and responsibilities. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of Seclusion/Restraint standards, guidelines, techniques and initiates documentation and debriefing with individuals for any seclusion/restraint incidents as required. Accurately transcribes Provider orders and administers medications as prescribed. Attempts to have individual sign medication consent form. Performs chart checks and signs off as a second noted on medications prescribed. Draw labs and provide wound care as ordered by Providers when required. Completes nurse to nurse at discharge or when accepting individual from another facility. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications What You'll Bring: Graduated from an accredited Nursing program Unrestricted active license as Registered Professional Nurse through State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques Working on ASAM 3.7, the RN shall have competencies and experience in conducting an alcohol or other drug focused nursing assessment The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. The Medical Support Specialist (MSS) is responsible for performing routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician as well as supports in other areas of the facility as needed including registration and referral management. This role requires efficient and accurate delivery of one-on-one patient care while thriving in a fast-paced environment. The MSS ensures that every patient is treated the with quality clinical care and receives an excellent patient experience from welcoming, respectful, and skillful colleagues. Responsibilities Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.) Assist providers during examination and treatment Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as needed Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set up and injury care Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the treating clinician Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected In partnership with center leadership, assist with patient flow and volume Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visit Responsible for clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping Ensure accuracy in documentation Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi-line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules Attend center staff meetings or huddles as required Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facility Complete any applicable training including but not limited to clinical competency training that occurs monthly This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
