Overview Under the general supervision of the Sr. Nursing Director or Assistant Nursing Director provides direct nursing care to patients. BAY RIDGE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT Full-Time 7pm – 7:30am Responsibilities * Incorporates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. * Communicates with patients, colleagues and management in accurate, considerate and timely manner (written, verbal and electronic). * Employs critical thinking skills to achieve outcomes and solve problems. * Engages in caring relationships that integrate the influence of the human experience of health, illness and/or healing, and relationship-based care. * Manages assignment and material resources effectively. * Applies leadership skills consistent with role and experience. * Incorporates teaching in the delivery of care to promote health and prevent disease and documents when appropriate. * Integrates relevant knowledge and evidence-based practice (utilizing teamwork and collaboration). * Provides specialty-specific care as outlined by Maimonides Medical Center. Qualifications Performs other related duties as required. Education Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required; BSN preferred. Current NYS licensure as RN required. Current BLS Certification Required. ACLS & PALS Certification Preferred. TNCC, ENPC, OR CEN certification preferred. Charge RN experience preferred. 1-2 years ED experience to include Peds, Adult, Trauma, Triage, and Critical Care required. Experience Professional nursing experience appropriate to the service and the position. Skills Medical / Surgical experience preferred. Clinical skills for patient care delivery through the nursing process. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Analytical skills Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position; fluency in a second language preferred. Pay Range USD $118,370.27 - USD $118,370.27 /Yr. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN / Per Diem

*Starting pay is $34 / hour! *This is a PRN/Per Diem position offering a schedule on ALL shifts! The LPN will provide clinical monitoring and support for residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia. Ensures that all restorative, support and preventative measures are met in accordance with applicable state laws and regulations. Experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia or behavioral health conditions, and a willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role. The LPN will: Take an active role in resident assessments, development of service plans, and daily care. Oversee and implement the self-administered medication management program for residents. Administer medication and/or treatment to residents in accordance with physician orders. Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental, or behavioral conditions. Provide emotional support, physical comfort and ensure ongoing safety of residents. Supervise Care Partners and Home Health Aides in providing resident care in accordance with State, Federal and Artis guidelines. Ensure residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes their individual needs and rights. Assist in the marketing of the community by touring and participating in public relation events; establishing relationships with potential resident referral sources. Assist with resident move-ins and relocations, help residents acclimate to their new surroundings and community personnel. Performs other duties as required. Education Requirements: Must possess current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) designation as granted by State Board of Nursing. Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by state. Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
