Overview The Wound Ostomy Certified Nurse Educator plays a vital role in delivering expert wound, ostomy, and continence care, as well as providing education and consultation to clinical staff and patients. This position ensures the application of evidence-based practices, policy development, and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes and enhance staff knowledge and competency. Job Details Nurse Educator & Wound Ostomy Certified Nurse Responsibilities : Provide expert consultation, direct care, and education in wound, ostomy, and continence management for hospitalized patients. Support staff with complex cases involving wounds, fistulas, ostomies, and incontinence. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training related to WOC care. Promote diabetes education in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Demonstrate leadership through participation in interdisciplinary rounds, committees, and quality initiatives. Drive process improvements in pressure injury prevention, staff performance feedback, and patient safety projects across departments. The salary range for the role is $96597.67 - $161565.28 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
