A caregiver in this position works variable hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm with evening/Saturday rotations. Hours will be based on facility needs with occasional 7:30am start times. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans. Administer medication and treatments. Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment. Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families. Cover other nursing roles within the department. Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed. The Parkview III Med/Surg Unit provides post-procedure medical support for orthopaedic , spine, low-risk bariatric, urology, vascular, colorectal and general surgeries. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed.
