Together, you will help our patients achieve the outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan. Receiving admissions and/or transfers. Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment. Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry. Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately. Promoting continuous quality improvement. Instructing and counseling patients/families. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Valid State RN License is required BLS is required at hire Preferred Qualifications BSN or enrollment in a BSN program Clinical experience Additional Data Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process, to be completed before an employee's first day of work. Overview NaphCare is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs ) for PRN to join our team of medical professionals in North Brunswick New Jersey , where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Middlesex County Jail. Pay rates range from $45.60 - $48.00 per hour plus shift differentials where applicable! Pay rates range per hour based on employment status, site needs, licensure, and experience. As a Correctional Registered Nurse (RN ), you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. *New grads are encouraged to apply - we'll train you in the exciting field of correctional healthcare! * Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Performing initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals. Monitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs, medical histories. Providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating services. Responding to medical emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring timely transport to appropriate healthcare facilities. Understanding and adhering to correctional facility security protocols, while working closely with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. Maintaining accurate medical records, documenting treatment plans, and reporting any relevant information. Qualifications Experience / Requirements / Qualifications Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within the State oj New Jersey Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred) Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Able to work independently and in a team Flexible schedule and availability to work overtime when needed Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
