Position Overview LVPG OB/GYN is an enterprise of multiple practices across several counties in southeastern Pennsylvania that serves women’s preventive, gynecological, and obstetric needs. Inpatient care is conducted at 2 Family Birth and Newborn Centers, Cedar Crest (Allentown) and Muhlenberg (Bethlehem) hospital sites, and 2 primary surgical locations at Muhlenberg and 17th Street (Allentown) campuses. The OB/GYN team of physicians, APC, midwives supported by operations and clinical leadership work together for the benefit of our patients and colleagues. There are additional opportunities for professional engagement in clinical committees, teaching and administrative roles. In an obstetrics and gynecology career with LVHN, you will experience: Possible work hours of Monday- Thursday of 8AM-5PM, 7:20AM-4:20PM, or 7AM-4PM. Fridays 8:20AM-4PM Evening sessions of seeing patients 10-7 NO CALL 90% Outpatient and 10% Rounding/Consults Over 30 service sites for obstetrics and gynecology in 11 counties serving women’s preventive, gynecologic and obstetrics needs. Five Family Birth and Newborn Centers throughout the region provide maternity care. Additional locations provide gynecologic surgical care for women using traditional and advanced minimally invasive techniques. Multiple locations give physicians and APCs the option to choose the setting in which they practice. Qualifications & Requirements Education A graduate of an accredited school of nursing An advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Experience Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred. Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate patient population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment. Scheduling flexibility is also required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage.
