Responsibilities A qualified CRNA responsible for the management of nurse anesthesia services in collaboration with facility CEO, Core Leadership Team and Medical Staff. Develops and interprets organizational policies for high quality and safe patient care. Assumes responsibility for safe and proper operation and quality control of equipment, techniques, and procedures; and analyzes and evaluates activities to assure established quality patient care. Managerial Manages daily operations of the anesthesia department Coordinates with the CEO on purchasing of supplies and equipment and maximizes efficient utilization Participates in interviews of qualified Participates in the counseling and evaluation of personnel with CEO and Clinical Leaders. Assists with work schedules and assignments, and emergency changes in collaboration with the CEO and Clinical Leaders. Leading peer review for anesthesia at the facility. Collaborating with surgeons, CEO and facility Leadership to develop and maintain quality improvement programs for the anesthesia Team in compliance with the ASC program, regulatory and accreditation agency requirements. Plans and coordinates education of students and facility in-service educational activities. Represents anesthesia services on the medical Executive Committee. Follows ASC policy on security of controlled substances. Performs all aspects of clinical anesthesia administration as scheduled. Clinical or administrative oversight of other departments (e.g., PAT, PreOp, PACU). Clinical Provides clinical anesthesia care, as necessary, in accordance with CRNA job description and/or CRNA clinical privileges. Patient Safety Supports patient safety when performing his or her job functions and through participation in facility, department, or unit patient safety initiatives. Takes action to correct observed risks to patient safety. Reports adverse events and near misses to appropriate management authority. Identifies possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicates the same to those in charge. Professional Development Participates in required educational programs. Participates in monthly departmental meetings and quarterly meetings with CEO. Seeks ongoing professional management educational growth. Maintains current licensure requirements for CRNA practice. Qualifications Holds current active state licensure as a registered nurse in the state o f KY/IN and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing. Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educationalprogram accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. Currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer in the state of KY/IN. Demonstrates current competency in the management and clinical responsibilities specified below. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CRNA USD $249,059.00/Yr. USD $294,553.00/Yr.
