Job Overview TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for travel assignments . This role involves providing specialized care to expectant mothers throughout the childbirth process, ensuring both maternal and neonatal well-being. The ideal candidate is skilled in obstetric care, fetal monitoring, and emergency interventions . Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery . Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vitals, and contractions to assess labor progress. Administer medications, epidurals, and IV fluids as needed. Assist OB/GYNs and midwives during deliveries, including vaginal and C-section births . Educate patients and families on labor procedures, newborn care, and breastfeeding . Manage complications such as preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, and fetal distress . Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital protocols . Provide emotional support to mothers and families throughout labor and delivery. Qualifications Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license . Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, or Women’s Health . Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN required. Skills: Proficient in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and emergency OB care . Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and respond quickly in emergencies . Overview: This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
