Monitor and report changes in resident condition. Ensure safety and comfort by maintaining a clean and organized environment. Support residents with physical activities, such as ROM exercises and mobility assistance. Accurately document care provided and observations. Participate in training, quality improvement, and team collaboration. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Certification: Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or be willing to obtain certification within three months of hire. Overview Direct Support Professional I - Certified Nursing Assistant $22.00 / Hr $1000 sign-on bonus To support people with the type, amount, and style of assistance they need to enjoy personal well-being and safety. To teach life management skills by way of role modeling, participation, instruction, and monitoring. To implement support per the individual’s support plan, responding to multi-disciplinary team communication. Responsibilities Essential Functions Responsible for the overall physical, psychological and emotional health and safety of the participant.Models healthy behavior and positive social skills.Provides supports as written in the individual’s support plan that may include personal care, physical lifting and therapeutic holds.Provides feedback to team members and/or supervisors as to effectiveness of individual plans.Assists with an individual’s environment such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking, errands and budgeting.Facilitates and maintains family contacts and community involvement.Encourages the development of new relationships and contacts by assisting people to be active in their communities and workplace.Communicates effectively in verbal and written format. Able to work with minimal supervision. CNA license required. Additional: Proof of immunizations, TB testing & National Background Check and completion of physical and back screening required.
