Meets safety needs of patients including safe use of equipment (foot stools, side rails, step stools, wheelchairs, oxygen, etc.) Performs range of motion and other simple procedures as an extension of therapy services as ordered (within the training limitations of the aide). Assists the patient in self-administration of medication, i.e., reminding the patients to take their medications. Performs or assists patients to perform activities in accordance with the personal services care plan, such as change ostomy appliances, reinforce or change simple non-sterile dressings, measure intake or output, external catheter care, and any other tasks as taught and supervised by the RN and in adherence to state/federal regulations. Immediately reports any changes in patients' conditions or incidents to Primary Care Nurse/Director of Hospice Services. Accurately documents services provided in accordance with Hospice policies and procedures on the day services are rendered. Submits documentation in a timely manner. Participates in staff development programs as appropriate for home health aides. Assumes personal responsibility to participate in discipline appropriate education to meet the annual education requirements (12 hours/12 months). Accepts responsibility for maintaining skills, learning and adhering to the Hospice's policies and procedures on an on-going basis. Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication. Position: Central Supply Clerk / CNA NHC Fort Oglethorpe is looking for a Central Supply Clerk / CNA to join our team. Job Duties and Responsibilities Maintain par levels of all nursing supplies. Conduct routine inventory on a weekly basis to ensure par levels; work directly with all vendors, maintain lists of supplies needed and purchase materials to maintain an adequate inventory. Prepare correspondences and claim concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc. and return to vendor as required. Follow prescribed budget. Create and submit to the Business Office a complete billing statement for resident billing. Fill approved requisitions for departments for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as require or assigned. Requirements: • High school graduate or equivalent.• Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment ordering and stocking procedures. • Must be organized and capable of keeping track of medical supplies and equipment. • Must present a professional appearance. • Pleasant and courteous to supply vendors. • Able to work with people and various departments. • Knowledgeable in using a calculator. • Work independently with little or no supervision.
