The Opportunity The Caregiver position provides support for our community’s residents with the essential day-to-day tasks they can no longer perform or need help with. Caregivers are responsible for helping people with their daily tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, bathing, dressing, and taking their medication. Successful Caregivers are sensitive, respectful and are passionate about helping those in need. What You’ll Do Helping with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing Supporting residents with medication Repositioning residents in bed and escorting them around the community Toileting, incontinent care Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate and pulse Observe and report on residents’ health, escalating any problems efficiently and effectively Detail daily reports to Nurse, or designated charge person, at end of shift Provide emotional support and serve as a source of comfort for residents and their loved ones Assist residents with mobility by helping them get in and out of bed, chairs, or wheelchairs. Assist residents with eating and drinking. Responsibilities include customer service, caregiving, resident safety and communication. What You’ll Bring POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, although mandatory in certain states. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, or the age required by state regulations, whichever is higher. Job Description The Caregiver is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. Availability: 11pm-7am shift | Full-Time 7am-3pm (every other weekend) | Part-Time **Senior Living Experience is Preferred** What will I do every day? Assist residents with simple requests as needed Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation and other activities Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures Document care provided to residents consistent Provide input to assure that resident individual service plans are current Review 24 hour report and care check lists regularly What will I need to be successful in this role?
