Resource RN PRN

At Grandview Medical Center this Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care via a flexible schedule (4, 6, 8, 10, and12 hour options) to patients in a variety of settings including but not limited our Medical-Surgical Units, Intensive Care Units, Stepdown Unit, and Emergency Department; Float and provide assistance in diverse clinical areas as needs arise.

Provide support to bedside nurses
Assist with patient admissions, discharges, transfers and procedures
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks and skills
Assist in obtaining IV access
Administer medications within the scope of practice of a registered nurse
Promotes patients' independence by helping establish patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
Related effectively with other shifts for continuity of patient care
Associates degree in nursing required; Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years' experience in nursing, clinical management, or other related area; prefer experience across at least 2 different nursing departments

Grandview Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and offers programs and services in all medical and surgical areas, including Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Women's Health, Mental Health, Digestive Diseases, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Sports Medicine and Emergency Care. There are more than 600 physicians on the Grandview medical staff representing 30 specialties and subspecialties. The hospital has been named an accredited program for Metabolic and Bariatric surgery by ASMBS & ACS as well as an accredited chest pain center.
